Cooking Directions: For food safety, follow these cooking instructions. Cook thoroughly to a temperature of 165 degrees F as measured by a food thermometer. Since cooking appliances vary, these instructions are guidelines only. Needs to be fully cooked. Stove Top: For best results, cook from frozen. Bring 1/2 cup water to a rapid/roiling boil in a saucepan. Add desired amount of frozen vegetables. Cover, reduce heat to medium, and heat gently for 6-7 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain and stir prior to serving. Microwave: Directions were developed for 1100 watt and higher microwave ovens. Cooking in microwave ovens below 1100 watt will require additional time to reach proper temperature. For best results, cook from frozen. Place desired amount of vegetables in a microwave-safe container. Add 2 tablespoons water and cover. Cook on high, full (100%) power for 6-7 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking. Let stand for 1 minute before serving. Drain if necessary and stir prior to serving. Keep frozen until ready to use. Promptly refrigerate leftovers.
