Make my Award-Winning Oatmeal at Home: Bring water and salt to a boil. Add Quick Cooking Steel Cut Oats, reduce heat to medium-low and cook stirring occasionally, for 7 minutes (or longer for creamier oatmeal). Remove from heat and let stand for 2 minutes. Servings: 1 serving: Oats (1/4 cup), Water (1/2 cup), Salt (pinch); Servings: 2 servings: Oats (1/2 cup), Water (1 cup), Salt (pinch); Servings: 3 servings; Oats (3/4 cup), Water (1-1/2 cup), Salt (1/4 tsp); Servings: 4 servings: Oats (1 cup), Water (2 cups), Salt (1/4 tsp). Slow Cooker Instructions: Combine 2 cups water, 1 cup quick cooking steel cut oats and 1/4 tsp salt in the slow cooker. Stir well cook oats on high for 45 minutes or low for 1 hours. Makes 4 servings. Store in a cool, dry place. Keeps best refrigerated or frozen after opening.
